CConservation of the environment is important to Tenco. We ensure all of our forestry products are from sustainably grown plantations in which environmental protection is a key ingredient and that harvesting is managed sensitively, in accordance with the requirements of the supervising environmental agencies, to minimise damage to native plants, soil and wildlife. In forests we own, we replant with young trees as soon as possible after harvest so that a new forest can grow to replace the crop we removed.
SSafety in the workplace is a top priority. Today in our forestry industry we work longer, harder and faster than before. Unfortunately repetition of tasks and tiredness are part of the mix where accidents are more likely to happen.
Tenco follows New Zealand best practice Health and Safety Guidelines and environment conservation. We take every possible step to eliminate or minimise hazards in forestry.
